Summary: Peaks of Otter is showing its age. The rooms have a small AC unit that can barely keep up. The WiFi in the rooms is weak, which is a problem since there is no cellular service here. Our door latch did not work because it was missing a screw. I had to move a screw from the patio door. The check in process was super slow. We waited in line for over 20 minutes. They would not allow anyone to check in before 4pm, even though rooms were ready. So the line was long. However, the restaurant food was very good and the staff there was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. And of course the setting on the lake is as beautiful as ever.
