The house was built in 1906. It’s a real beauty, especially after the award-winning full renovation it received a few years ago. The apartment is on the lowest level, which means a private entrance and no steps. Inside you’ll find a lot of neat added details to the space with the decor. We are artsy types who love lots of color, and we hope you like how we incorporate our style into our home. We want you to feel at home, cozy, safe, and comfortable. That is our goal - for you to feel at home.

We do our best to keep the flat looking great for all of our guests. Therefore, we ask that no smoking of any kind occurs indoors. Parties and gatherings are not allowed. Quiet hours are from 11pm-7am.
Given that this is an historic home, on very cold days its a good idea to have a pair of slippers and your favorite sweater. We provide space heaters to ensure that you remain toasty cozy during your stay with us. That said, summer is a breeze. A newly installed conditioning system is top class, with each bedroom able to set its preferred sleeping temperature.
The neighborhood is enjoyable for walking to see many architecturally interesting homes. Just a ten-minute walk to the stroll the grounds of the pristine Randolph College campus, as well several restaurants and cafes. Just a stone's throw from the walking trails and historic sites of Riverside park that includes commanding views of the James River.
